Overview
This two-day workshop gives an insight to a broad variety of hacking techniques. Experts from ERNW will show you everything from basic principles up to common and more advanced tricks to break current security mechanisms. The subjects of this workshop will cover network security, low-level software exploitation, reverse engineering, web application hacking and more.Who should attend this training?
The workshop will give attendees an insight into the hacking techniques required for penetration testing. This workshop is for beginners in the IT security field as well as professionals who want to get more practical experience in hacking and penetration testing.Requirements
- Bring your own Laptop with administrative privileges. If your laptop does not have an Ethernet port anymore, please bring also an USB Ethernet Adapter with you, if possible
- Basic knowledge of networking and working with command lines (especially on Linux) is strongly recommended, but not required. Also, being familiar with a programming/scripting language is considered useful
About the trainers:
Ann-Marie Belz holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Medical Informatics, where she developed a interdisciplinary perspective combining IT, medicine, and security technologies. During her studies, she began working in IT security and has been an IT security consultant at ERNW Research GmbH since 2025. Her work primarily focuses on penetration testing, including the security assessment of medical devices. In addition, she is involved in incident analysis and digital forensics, where she helps investigate computer security incidents.
Daniel Schlechtworks as a Penetration Tester at ERNW. He studied Cyber Security at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences and his special interest is to contribute to the Open Source Community by searching for and disclosing vulnerabilities.
